Choosing to be sane.

.

Tonight, I come to you (not so) fresh from two days in the hospital. I am not too interested in telling details but I’ll say that I was the visitor and not the visited. There was no death involved unless you count the death of silence and there is now a nagging hope of a new tomorrow; one that simply by showing up, I have pledged to make time for.
.
Hope really can be a nag; often right up to the point it turns into hopelessness or blossoms into health.

Whatever you are moving through, your words are deeply felt, both by writer and reader; and the moon is exquisite in its eternal change through what seems our stasis, but is actually our unceasing motion.

Hey Phan,

"Choosing to be sane" I used to joke, would be a great title for a blank book. (At one time I wanted to create a whole series.) It seemed appropriate for the title of a post couched in mystery and highly personal. I agree about the moon, personally I cannot hide behind it enough.

I always wanted to record an album dedicated to Simon & Garfunkel called, "The Sound of Silence" with nothing but the sound of an empty room.

4'33 is a silent composition by John Cage.

Oh well, at least I had a similar idea as John Cage. Great minds think alike? Or is that a stretch of my imagination?

Barry, you have often been in my thoughts these past couple of weeks. Know that you have friends and support whenever you need it. :)
